چکیده

This study aimed to assess the capacity of two methods application salicylic acid (SA) mitigate effects water deficit during vegetative growth tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) plants comparatively evaluated by growth, physiological and biochemical responses. Under greenhouse conditions, a combination factors was tested. The first SA application: without SA, seed priming with soil drench solution at 19 days after seedling emergence. second factor, limitation (20, 30, 40, 100% holding substrate) applied 28 emergence for 5 days. Results showed that plant photosynthetic activity were significantly inhibited deficit. On other hand, use efficiency, activities superoxide dismutase, ascorbate peroxidase, catalase contents malondialdehyde, hydrogen peroxide osmoprotectants increased Seed induced increases in leaf area, root dry weight root/shoot ratio under drought conditions. Soil improvements CO2 assimilation rate stomatal conductance well-irrigated plants. Even when, general, antioxidant enzymes not cellular redox homeostasis maintained through proline total soluble sugars from degradation starch. is suitable technique damaging severe while maintaining growth.

Physiological and biochemical responses of Hypericum perforatum to salt stress and salicylic acid spraying

Salinity is one of the main obstacles to the successful production of agricultural products. Hormonal compounds such as salicylic acid (SA) as plant growth regulators can have different physiological and biochemical effects in plants under salt stress. In present research, the effects of different concentrations of sodium chloride (2, 6 and 10 dS/m) and foliar application of SA (0, 0.25 and ...

Physiological and biochemical responses of Quercus brantii seedlings to water deficit stress

Water shortage is one of the most important environmental stresses in Mediterranean regions. Poor seedling quality may account for the failure of oak regeneration. To determine the best seed origin of Quercus brantii, we investigated on seedlings collected from 20 mother trees in the Zagros Mountain forests 700 to 2200 m altitudes above sea level. Seedlings from different altitudes were irrig...

Improving Effects of Salicylic Acid on Morphological, Physiological and Biochemical Responses of Salt-imposed Winter Jasmine

To investigate the positive effects of salicylic acid (SA) on morphological and biochemical traits of salinity stress-imposed winter jasmine, an experiment was conducted in a research greenhouse. The experiment was conducted using a factorial experiment based on completely randomized design with four levels of salinity stress (2, 4, 6, and 8 dS.m-1) as the first factor and different levels of S...

Effects of Superabsorbents on Growth and Physiological Responses of Date Palm Seedling under Water Deficit Conditions

Irrigation is an inevitable part of agriculture which determines crop yield and thus food security. In modern era of agriculture, crop yield is determined on the basis of crop production per unit of water-use instead of crop production per land unit area. Deficit irrigation is introduced as a strategy for controlling water resources that leads to water resource preservation. Date palm requires...
